this morning settles over me
the stars and I were out all night
but they´ve all sunk into the sky
and left a sunrise twice as bright

close my eyes and learn to breathe
and everything will be alright
when darkness collides with the day
it helps me understand the light

I watch the sky so I can´t see
the ground falling out from under me

the city burns a hole in me
it feels like time is spread so thin
so I´ll cast out across the stars
where life is waiting to begin

it puts things in perspective
when my veins run with fire
